Slip Stitch Purlwise – Sl P or Sl 1P
Slip stitching in knitting can be done different ways. If you are asked to slip stitch purlwise, you have to slip stitch as if you are going to purl.
With slip stitching purlwise, you have to pretend you are going to do the purl and go through the motions but do not wrap the needle. Simply slide the stitch off onto the next needle. This is done to keep the loops looking uniform with the stitching.
