Crochet Calico Flowers Scarf

This incredible Crochet Calico Flowers Scarf is not as hard as it looks. There is an extensive diagram with a lot of detail but if you dissect it, you will see the commonality between the half motif shapes.

The yarn changes colour on its own. I’ve never seen a pattern transition in colour like this. I thought it would not work out but due to the design, the colouring matches up. Initially, I thought it was several motifs that are sewn or attached together. It’s not. It’s a continuous scarf that grows out.

There are 1 full motif and 19 half motifs in this scarf before starting the border.

Once done, you will do two rounds of borders. The border is forgiving too. I love this design. I hope you do as well.

If it wasn’t for your video I would have given up on this pattern. The half-motif section is missing parts and I kept having to frog it. Is there a way to have them fix their pattern? Keep up the great work.

On a side note. Can we sell the scarves we make from this pattern?

Hi Mikey, I love your tutorials!!!!! You make even the complicated so very easy to understand! I’m enthralled with the calico flowers scarf and would love to see this in a rectangular shawl. Do you think this can be added on in a way that it could be continuous bed of flowers? I think it would be beautiful with the Caron Cakes I already have on hand.

It’s a neat idea… but I cannot think right now on how to execute that off the top of my head. I like your thinking though. I think it’s possible. but how is the question?

My email is [email protected]. thank you so much for sending this. Im excited. I love the way you teach and your humor. Ive been trying to get my son and his caleb to try crocheting. He can be so creative. Any words of wisdom to spark a crocheting flame? Lol someday you might be able to teach me how to read the diagrams, but I’m not learning it well. Lol you explain it well. I dont learn it well. But I wont give up on it. You both are so kind..
