The Crochet Desert Dreams Throw is a shocking fun find on Yarnspirations. Mandala’s feelings of stitching pleasure await.

Look carefully, the yarn is self-striping using Red Heart Dreamy Stripes. However, if you want to plan your colours and change colours in the rounds, you could create unique-looking blankets.

Based on finishing my sample, I think this blanket will need to be damp blocked at the end for shaping. That’s what I had had to do as well. 

Typo in Rnd 9 – As Written

9th rnd: (Slip st, ch 3, dc) in first ch-1 space, (ch 1, 2 dc) in next 3 ch-1 spaces, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next dc (corner made), 2 dc in next ch-1 space, (ch 1, 2 dc) in next 3 ch-1 spaces, ch 2, 2 dc in next sc, [ch 2, 2 dc in next ch-1 space, (ch 1, 2 dc) in next 3 ch-1 spaces, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next dc (corner made), 2 dc in next ch-1 space, (ch 1, 2 dc) in next 3 ch-1 spaces, ch 2, 2 dc in next sc] around, ch 2; join with slip st in top of beginning ch—132 dc, 6 corner ch-1 spaces, and 12 ch-2 spaces.

    1. I don’t have my licence in colouring as Daniel does it. Usually I just choose a colour that is best for filming. 😀

  10. I already have this about done, it’s been challenging since it seems to me some of the stitch counts just don’t add up. I would love a video on this, I would love to make it again 🙂

      1. I am no expert by any stretch. I had trouble with a couple of rounds but just worked around it. It’s a fairly forgiving pattern for the most part! I look forward to your video. It may clear up some of my questions ☺️
