1. I am beginner BEGINNER. I first saw a you tube a few years back that frustrated me. It was just Mikey. I couldn’t find it again as I didn’t know who/what I was looking for. I then found Crochet Crowd with Mikey and new brand or name…I was thrilled to see a noticable organization of tutorials. I’m still a beginner Beginner. I just read Book2 holding pattern…I respect your decision. I can now focus on beginning. Thx Mikey and all supporters of Crochet Crowd, ( YARNSPIRITATION, I think).

   1. A lot has changed and I have resources now to be able to do much more than I originally did in the beginning. We didn’t have any funds coming in and did the best I could but as time changed, so did our resources to do this. I spend more time on YouTube Daily than any other platform, that includes Facebook.

2. I am on oxygen and really enjoyed your emails and they
   stopped cannot go far so I waited for your emails but they stopped why I am only a beginner but love to try to crochet all the patterns love your patterns thanks for taking time to read this

3. I was trying to reach mikey for a question. Wondering how to find out the colors in Caron cakes or bernat cakes. Nothing is listed on pckge. Just wondering if one color can be matched. Someone please help!!

   1. This I wouldn’t know. You could try calling Yarnspirations through their website contact page to ask. They make it, so they would probably know.

8. My six year old niece asked me to teach her to crochet but we live 700 miles apart. I went to your site just to see what you suggested for yarn and hook for beginners. I will be mailing her her first set of crochets hooks and a gift card for yarn this Christmas and a note for your website. Thank you for helping me help my niece learn how to crochet. 9. Hi Mikey! i have tried for so long to learn how to crochet. Always got frustrated and put the yarn down. Thank god for your left handed tulorials.My biggest problem is not understanding the patteren language.But through watching your video’s i have mastered some afghans. So far i think i have mastered the Baby Star Blanket witch i’m very proud of .

11. Hi,am 68 years old and can knit any pattern but could not crochet but after watching Mikey I am on my way thank you

12. I have crocheted for several years. I was hesitant to try a video tutorial for a pattern I was having a problem with. Mikey made it very easy to understand. I am going to start over and take some lessons with his videos now to improve my skills.

13. I’ll check the workshops out. Octavia the Octopus caught my eye and made me want to crochet again, I haven’t crocheted since I was a youngster and at a relatives. I feel like starting with Octavia, but I don’t think that I should seeing that I’m a beginner. What do you recommend?

    1. Hi Jeanne,
       You should be able to crochet Octavia in no time. Mikey’s videos are easy to follow and when I first started I would always pause the video and back it up until I got it. He always is giving pointers to make it easier. Have fun! Grab your hook and get hooking!

14. I am a 72 yr old woman who is determined to learn crochet. For the first time today I made a chain stitch and then crocheted into it and counted my stitches…I actually had 16 stitches that matched my chain!! This is a landmark moment in my crochet experience. I know that sounds crazy to you, but I have been trying Tunisian crochet and could never match my stitches. I love your tutorials on Tunisian also but have had the same problem ending up with the correct amount of stitches. I feel I am finally on my way thanks to you, Mikey!
